After years of requests, we’re excited to announce our first ever summer camps! All camps include a summer camp t-shirt. Each camp is 3 hours a day for 1 week (Monday through Friday), and each includes special bonus items!

Join the mystery under the narration of our very own Dungeon Master for a week-long campaign.

Date: July 4th-8th, 1-4pm
Cost: $90
Description: For ages 8-12*; learn how to make a character and participate in a campaign. Includes a character miniature and a tube of dice.

Date: August 15th-19th, 10am-1pm

Description: For ages 12-15*; learn how to make a character and participate in a campaign. Includes a character miniature and a tube of dice.

Learn how to up your competitive edge and start playing in tournaments with the help of a Level 1 Magic Judge. For ages 10-14*.

Date: July 11th-15th, 10am-1pm
Cost: $120
Description: Learn how to play in a sealed event to prepare for the Eldritch Moon prerelease. Includes prerelease entry on July 16th or 17th, as well as 6 boosters.

Date: August 8th -12th, 1-4pm
Cost: $95
Description: Learn how to make a standard deck so you can play in one of the Eldritch Moon Game Days on August 13th and 14th. Includes a Magic intro deck.

Pokemon
Learn how to play the game and even how to participate in a tournament, with our resident Professors. For Ages 8-14*

Date: July 25th– 29th, 10am-1pm
Price: $110
Description: For kids who have some Pokemon experience, this will prepare them to play in a prerelease. Includes Steam Siege prerelease during camp on the 29th.

Date: August 22nd -26th, 1-4pm
Price: $100
Description: For players with little to no experience. Learn to play the game! Includes a trainer kit and intro deck.

Tournament #2 and #3 – 3pm to 8pm – $25 entry fee – 2 pods – 4 rounds

Saturday morning tournament is limited to 60 people. All other tournaments are limited to 16 people.
All tournaments are sealed-deck format.
How to register:
Pre-register: NEW! $10 deposit to register and choose your colour. You will receive a proof-of-purchase postcard indicating your colour. Please bring this to the tournament with you. Make sure to arrive 10 minutes before the tournament start time.
Register On-Site: Please arrive between 30 and 10 minutes before the tournament start time to do so.

STORE WARS X-WING TOURNAMENT DATES

The next tournament circuit is going to feature the X-Wing Miniatures game and we have some very exciting details to tell you! First here are the dates for the Minor and Major tournaments.

Players will be awarded points for participating and ranking in the top 10, with more points being awarded at a Major and less at a Minor. They are as follows:

The top 16 players will also receive a Store Wars t-shirt in recognition of their achievement.

For those players that cannot actively participate in the Store Wars circuit, there will be 16 places that will be open to the public. Two places will be held for the Canadian Regional Champions (one from Phoenix Rising and one from Kingston Nexus Hobbies) with the remaining 14 places open to the general public. Registration for these tickets will open October 12th with details coming soon regarding the price of the tickets and how to register.

So there you have it! After having a great time battling your way through tournaments, it all ends with your chance at becoming the Canadian Champion!

Magic M15 Pre-Release Details

All events will be $25 entry fee. Please pre-pay to secure your spot and choice of colour. If you pre-pay, you can skip the registration time-slot, although we ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before deck-building begins.

Although Wizards has ratcheted back their support for this event, we are continuing to max out available prizing for your tournament fees. To that end, we will provide 3 packs per person into the prize pool. This can be taken in packs from any set we currently carry, or in the form of prize credit to be spent on anything in the store.

We are again running 6 events:
SATURDAY MORNING; 2 tournaments with 16 people each
registration: 9:30-10am with deck-building to follow
4 rounds of play with a break for lunch in the middle.
Play will conclude at 3pm with prizing to follow.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON: 1 tournament with 16 people
registration 2:45-3:15 with deck-building to follow
4 rounds of play with no meal break
Play will conclude at 7:45 with prizing to follow.

SUNDAY MORNING: 2 tournament with 16 people each
registration 9:30-10am with deck-building to follow
4 rounds of play with a break for lunch in the middle

Gaming Update

After getting some feedback on our regular gaming events, we’ve decided to make the following changes:

Board Gaming Sundays will now be every 2nd AND 4th Sunday of every month. We hope to see you there! Bring a game, or come in and sample one of our demo games.

Miniature Gaming Saturdays will become regularly open gaming for Warmachine, Warhammer, X-Wing Minis, and Netrunner LCG. If you would like to reserve a table, please give us a call to ensure your spot. We ask that other games be played at their scheduled times on our calendar.

This Saturday is our Store Wars Warmachine Major tournament. It’s your first chance to score valuable points to get you into the Grand Tournament. There are only a few spots left, so sign up now! Next weekend is Magic weekend at The Dragon, starting with Game Day on Saturday, March 1st. This is a totally free Standard tournament, with all participants getting a promo card, and the top 8 getting an exclusive foil promo card. You can also Battle the Horde in Challenge deck battles taking place on the side. Registration begins at 10:30, and length of play will be determined by number of participants. No sign-up necessary, just come and join the fun!

On Sunday, March 2nd, we have our Grand Prix Trial for Montreal. This tournament is $35, and uses the Sealed deck format (3 Theros, 3 Born of the Gods packs). Registration begins at 10am, with deck building beginning at 10:30. Prizing is 3 packs per person into the prize pool. The length of the tournament will be determined by number of players, which is capped at 32. There will be no lunch break in this tournament. The latest it will run is 4:30pm. Sign-up is open now, pre-payment not required.

Magic GPT Montreal: Sunday, March 2nd

The Dragon is pleased to announce our Magic GPT Montreal on Sunday, March 2nd.

Registration: 10am and deck building will begin at 10:30.

Entry Fee: $35

Format: Sealed Deck Event (3 Theros, 3 Born of the Gods)

Number of Players: maximum 32 players.

Length: The length will be determined by the number of players, but should end no later than 4pm. Note there will be no lunch break during this event

Prizing: 3 packs per person into the prize pool. The winner receives a 2 round bye for the Montreal Grand Prix. If we have 20 or more players, the winner will also receive $100 in cash (if there are fewer than 20, the winner will receive a portion of the packs from the prize pool).
